1 - Reflection on Previous I Search Experiences
1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
I have done research projects like the labyrinth one, the ethical delimma one for religion, and a lot of book reports.
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
Research is looking up stuff to make a report or project or something.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
This year, we did the labyrinth research project. It was kind of annoying because the answers to the questions were hard to find but the 2nd part, where we got to work in groups was fun. The experience was a little bit positive and a little bit negative. ----
Teacher Response March 15
I am sorry that you had a difficult time with the labyrinth research. However, the labyrinth you all built is great!
I placed the gray line in for you.
Your grade is 8/10.

1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
The pre-notetaking sheet helped me organize my thoughts about my topic and think of lots of questions to ask about the topic. The fat question was kind of hard because all the ones I thought of were to broad. Teacher Response March 20 - Very interesting topic. 20/20. 6 - Search Log (due Wed, Mar 21)
1. What have I learned today?
2. What problems have I had?
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
4. What will I do next?
I learned about Michelangelo by answering my i-search questions on net snippets.
I haven't had any problem, but I am a little worried about how long the project is going to take.
To overcome this problem, I can work faster and stay on task.
Next, I will continue research on leading figures of the Renaissance, specifically Titian. ----

The only problem I had was finding my book in the library.
I will continue to use online sources to answer my questions.
Next, I'll keep answering my I search questions. Andreas Vesalius is next on the list. ----
Teacher Response March 22 - don't forget to use the index of books to help in research. 10/10.
